Mediatectonic fair design for the traditional brand AEG at the IFA 2012

125 years of AEG are interactively experienceable at the IFA 2012. Electrolux sends the fair’s visitors onto a journey through 125 years of existence of the traditional brand with the claim “Perfect in Shape and Function”. But the brand’s innovations are also playfully conveyed by means of interactive stations.

The Electrolux brand AEG celebrates its 125th anniversary with the brand appearance at the IFA 2012. The central point of reference for the fair stand is a mediatectonic timeline, which sends visitors onto a journey through the milestones of the AEG brand history: From the foundation of the Allgemeinen Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft in 1887 to today’s ground-breaking innovations. The visitors can move two screens on a table along the timeline in order to see all contents selectively. A LED screen on the ceiling above the exhibition module takes up the timeline motive design-wise.

The presentation of the current AEG Öko_Line also uses mediatectonic elements: By means of ivy-entwined LED screens, the visitors are invited into the world of the ecologically sustainable products of the AEG AEG Öko_Line. Thanks to its arrangement the info screen melts into the green holistic presentation of the topic area. The arrangement is supported by the interactive efficiency calculator, which enables the visitors to disclose the advantages of saving with the ecologically sustainable domestic appliances by AEG. By confirming by means of a buzzer the level of saving is calculated. The media element is architectonically arranged by two slots with over-dimensional coins, which are integrated into the sidewall.
