The Football World Cup – from 1954 to today

Fan culture thrives on emotion, identity and bonding with the heart team – embodied by unforgettable games, meaningful mementos, and the stories told about them.

The new adidas Halftime Gallery exhibit puts fans in the spotlight, showcasing the places where those emotions are experienced – from the stadium to the living room. An interactive exhibit that sparks enthusiasm for the history of the World Cup.

The World Cup kickoff also unveiled the newest batch of the collectible football stickers. Whether you have a brand new album or treasured old ones – collecting the "kicker stickers" is an exciting hobby with nostalgic charm.

Not to be missed: in the Collector’s Passion Area, visitors and employees work together to fill the newest album. The nearby Face-Swop Stage invites visitors to take funny selfies that transform them into famous football legends.

Another highlight is the 70s-style living room, with adidas football films from this era screening in a nostalgic 4:3 format. A popular space since the opening of the exhibition: visitors often stay and watch entire 30-minute films.

The allure of the fan block: Historic World Cup jerseys are staged in a stadium, surrounded by 120+ cage-mounted lights and a large-format graphic imitating a crowd of fans taking flash photos.

A range of Hero Stages pay tribute to unforgettable World Cup moments – like the "Wunder von Bern" stage, where speakers reproduce the unmistakable original sound of the 1954 reportage.

For the ultimate stadium atmosphere, turf patches are set up across the exhibition space. This design invites visitors and employees to get closer than ever before to the unique and immersive original exhibits.

Last, but not least, 14 World Cup balls made by adidas are placed in a giant Louis Vuitton suitcase. Three films showcase historical adverts, taking the viewer on a journey from past to present.
